CINI Chetana Resource Centre has rich resources consisting of books, reports, success stories, IEC, BCC & TLM materials, training modules, manuals, books, journals etc.
The centre has designed and developed Modules /Manuals /Worksheets /Handbooks /Facilitators’ Guide book. There are some glimpses as follows;
Manuals/Modules on following content like;
- Community Mobilisation
This module is primarily for frontline workers who work directly with the community people directly. This module aims to equip the participants with requisite skills to involve in planning, implementation and monitoring of the programme in their respective areas.
- Empowering women on Gender, Sexuality and Reproductive Health Rights
This module aims to help participants with the knowledge in the area of Gender, women empowerment and Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). It also includes required skills of trainer following participatory training.
- Maternal Health & Nutrition
There are a number of maternal and child health modules and manuals for the frontline workers and the facilitators also. These modules and manuals consist of basic care on health, hygiene and nutrition including danger signs identification and referral during pregnancy, intra natal and post natal period.
- Child Health & Nutrition
These manuals and modules emphasise essential care for new born heath and care up to two years of children. It covers new born care right from the birth that includes essential observation, examination, immunisation, temperature management, breast feeding, nutrition and care against childhood ailments.
- Nutrition and Growth Monitoring
Malnutrition is one of the major works of CINI, and thus, the aim of developing this module is addressing malnutrition through various preventive and promotive measures. The special focus given on breast feeding, complementary feeding, growth monitoring, child malnutrition, anaemia and Govt. schemes and services related to Nutrition.
- Communicable and Non Communicable diseases
This module focuses on different communicable and non communicable diseases which have a direct bearing on the health of an individual. It covers different types of communicable and non communicable diseases, it’s signs and symptoms, modes of transmission (communicable diseases only), prevention and management. Also it includes the key features of different national health programs related to the common diseases.
- Family Planning
Family planning is important for the health of a mother and her children, as well as the family’s economic situation. Quality family planning services bring a wide range of benefits to women, their families and society. Keeping priority on the importance of family planning, this manual focuses on Family Planning methods including RTI/STI as a way of improving women’s Health by enhancing the competences of the participants on correct knowledge, method of use and practices related to contraceptive methods as well as preventive and curative measures for RTI and STI.
- Supervision ( module for supervisors)
Supervisors as middle level health workers are acting as catalyst to stimulate health services from service point to door step of the service receiver. They need to support front level workers, communicate and encourage them to reach target. This module helps supervisor to cherish skills for supportive supervision and leadership.
- Facilitator’s manual on health, nutrition, education and Protection focussing on women, children and Adolescents
This manual aims to equip the participants with adequate knowledge and skills on Health, Nutrition, Education and Protection of Women, Children and Adolescents. It will also help to identify risks and vulnerability of women, children and adolescents which can be mitigated at an early stage. The trainer may enrich their facilitation skills using this manual.
- Life skills and soft skill manual
In order to orient and capacitate the adolescent and young adults to achieve a meaningful and productive prospect in future CINI offers an orientation cum training on life skills and soft skills. The manual is developed to help adolescents/individuals in translating knowledge, attitude and values into healthy behaviour that makes their life fruitful. The core life skills recommended by WHO and other soft skills have been incorporated in this manual. These core skills are;
