Rural and Urban community exposure visit of students different Nursing Schools
As part of its In-House and Residential Training Programme, CCRC organizes rural and urban community exposure visits to provide students with practical learning opportunities and field-based experiences in public health and community development. The programme has successfully facilitated exposure visits for GNM nursing students from reputed institutions including ESI Hospital Sealdah, Islamia School of Nursing, Bharat Sevashram Sangha School of Nursing, Sister Nivedita Nursing Training Institute, and ANM Nursing Training Schools of Kakdwip and Diamond Harbour, among others. These exposure visits are designed to enhance students’ understanding of grassroots public healthcare systems with a focus on Nutrition, Reproductive and Child Health, and School Health. During the programme, students visit community and healthcare service points such as Anganwadi Centres, Under-Five Clinics, Primary Health Centres, Block Health Centres, Sub-Centres, Panchayat offices, TB control units, and old age homes to gain first-hand experience of service delivery mechanisms and community-based interventions. The training also encourages active community engagement through health education sessions, awareness campaigns, street plays, puppet shows, and rallies. Through this experiential learning approach, the programme strengthens participants’ practical knowledge, communication skills, and understanding of public health systems while fostering community participation and social responsibility.
