Life Skills Training for NGOs

CCRC conducts Life Skills Training Programmes for staff members and participants from various NGOs to strengthen personal, social, and interpersonal competencies essential for effective community engagement and programme implementation. The training focuses on key life skill domains including self-awareness, communication, problem solving, decision making, leadership, interpersonal relationships, stress management, empathy, and emotional well-being. Using participatory training methods such as group discussions, role plays, case studies, experiential activities, games, and reflection exercises, the programme aims to enhance participants’ confidence, teamwork, leadership capacity, and ability to respond effectively to community needs and workplace challenges.

Community Mobilization Training for NGOs

The Community Mobilization Training Programme is designed to build the knowledge and practical skills of NGO staff, community facilitators, and frontline workers in promoting active community participation and collective action. The training provides an understanding of community dynamics, mobilization strategies, stakeholder coordination, leadership strengthening, and participatory planning processes. Participants are introduced to various tools and techniques for engaging communities, identifying local needs and resources, facilitating group processes, and encouraging community ownership in development initiatives. The programme follows an interactive learning approach with workshops, experience sharing sessions, case-based discussions, practical exercises, and field-oriented activities to strengthen participants’ capacities in implementing community-led programmes effectively.

Child Development and Protection Training for NGOs

The Child Development and Protection Training Programme aims to enhance the understanding and capacities of NGO professionals, community workers, educators, and frontline staff on issues related to child well-being, safety, and holistic development. The training covers key areas including child growth and development, child rights, protection mechanisms, safeguarding practices, early childhood care, psychosocial support, and prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Participants are oriented on child-centred approaches, community-based protection systems, and strategies for creating safe and supportive environments for children. The programme adopts participatory training methods through interactive sessions, case studies, group discussions, practical exercises, and experience-sharing activities to strengthen knowledge and improve responses to child development and protection needs.

Training on Sex, Sexuality and Gender

CCRC conducts Training on Sex, Sexuality and Gender to promote awareness and build participants’ understanding of gender and sexuality-related issues within social, health, and development contexts. The programme focuses on developing knowledge on topics such as gender and social norms, sexuality, adolescent development, reproductive health, gender equality, rights and responsibilities, diversity and inclusion, and prevention of discrimination and gender-based violence. The training creates a platform for learning, dialogue, and reflection, enabling participants to develop gender-sensitive perspectives and positive attitudes. The sessions are facilitated through participatory methods including interactive discussions, group activities, case scenarios, role plays, experience sharing, and practical exercises to encourage active engagement and learning.

Training on WASH

CCRC organized an In-House / Residential Training on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for staff members and participants of other NGOs to strengthen their knowledge and capacities on safe water management, sanitation practices, personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, waste management, and disease prevention. The training aimed to promote healthy behaviours, enhance community awareness, and support effective implementation of WASH interventions for improving public health and community well-being.

Training on IYCF

CCRC also organized an In-House / Residential Training on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) for staff members and participants of other NGOs to strengthen their knowledge and skills on optimal infant and young child feeding practices, including early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, nutrition during early childhood, and child growth and development. The training aimed to enhance participants’ capacities to promote appropriate feeding practices and improve the nutritional status and overall well-being of children in the community.
